When to come, how long to stay.
Lake Wales rewards a slow visit. Two half-days is enough for Bok Tower and downtown; three days lets you add the Ridge preserves and an open-mic night.

Azalea bloom
Bok Tower Gardens explodes with color. The single most photogenic window of the year.
May – Oct
Low season
Hot, humid, afternoon thunderstorms. Fewer crowds, better hotel rates, moody sky over the Ridge.

Market Plaza Open Mic, 6–8 PM. Free. Downtown.

- Downtown murals walk + lunch on Park Avenue
- Spook Hill (10 min) → Lake Wailes Park at golden hour
