The town
Babson Park is Roger Babson's planned ridge hamlet on Crooked Lake — Webber International University, a lakeside beach, and scrub preserves twelve minutes south of downtown Lake Wales.
It's the closest quiet water to Lake Wales, and small enough that the university is the town's main employer and social anchor.
